Eligibility Consideration
To qualify for emergency financial assistance, members must be in good standing with their local union, have a documented loss of work due to illness or injury, and demonstrate an unmet financial need.

When reviewing financial need, Solidara may consider available income and resources, including workers’ compensation, Paid Family and Medical Leave, unemployment, severance, household income, and other available support.

All emergency financial assistance requests are reviewed by a panel. If approved, payments may take up to two weeks to process and are made directly to the creditor and not the member.

Financial assistance is limited and, if approved, is available once every three years.

Assistance is limited and based on eligibility, available funds, and required verification.
